Good coffee shouldn’t cost
the people who grow it.
The commodity market prices coffee as if it were all the same — and pays as if nobody’s life depended on it. We left that market in 2019. Since then we have bought every harvest directly from six farms, at prices we negotiate face to face and publish every year, down to the krone.
It makes our coffee a little more expensive. It also makes it better: farmers who are paid for quality, grow for quality. You can taste the difference — and trace it.

Picked ripe, by hand, at altitude. Every lot is cupped at origin before we commit to the season.

Four weeks by sea instead of four hours by air — about 94% less CO₂ per kilo of green coffee.

Twelve-kilo batches in our Grünerløkka roastery, every Tuesday morning, profiled for filter.
